Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer from Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August, 1963. The parents of her are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. As a child she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she was 15, Houston had sung professionally backing vocals with her mother for Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. In 1981, she worked as a fashion model and also appeared on the Seventeen Cover. She also performed back vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls. The singer was first a featured singer for New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her vocal quality work attracted attention from major record label Arista where she signed up in 1983. The year 1985 saw the debut of Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album of all time. Songs like The Most Beautiful Love of All, How Do I Know if You Give Good Love or the song Saving all My Love were all released off the album. They allowed Houston to reach 7 US top tens, which surpassed even those of the Beatles. The album debuted in 1987 and sold 25 million copies around the world. The Whitney album from 1987, that featured songs like The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to and continued to be a huge success. However, it came with The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the biggest-selling artists in history. Even though the movie and actress' performance were not well-received, the soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her top album and single for a number of months. The album sold over 44 million copies worldwide. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician and father of her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1996 her daily drug usage was well documented.

Dana Bash, also known by the name Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American journalist and anchorwoman who is a correspondent for politics at CNN. In the past, she has created shows for CNN, including Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'.
