Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. She's performed on Broadway and during the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing piano in churches. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for an opportunity to be the director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
